Cultural excursion to Wong Tai Sin Temple
Our incoming exchange students paid a visit to the well-known Wong Tai Sin Temple, which is popular for its claim that it can “make every wish come true upon request”. Alongside the hundreds of faithful worshippers praying with burning joss sticks, some incoming exchange students participated in the Chinese spiritual experience of divining their future with “fortune sticks”, which are shaken out of a box on to the ground and then read by a traditional fortune-teller.
