Tam Tsz-ying, Sally, Year 2 accounting student, has won the 8th China Youth Innovation Technology Award organised by the China Youth Federation.

Sally and three teammates participated in the “8th Challenge Cup Business Plan Writing Competition” at Tongji University in Shanghai last November. Although they are neither science nor engineering students, they came up with a creative proposal of an innovative self-service “Speedy Venting Station” to alleviate emotional problems of working urban dwellers. The proposed services include a singing corner, a massage club and an art therapy area, which were highly regarded by the judges. The team won the bronze award at the competition and Sally was also recognised with the 8th China Youth Innovation Technology Award.

A total of 100 students were awarded this year. Among the five awardees from Hong Kong, Sally is the only undergraduate student, while the other four are PhD students. Once again, congratulations to Sally!
