Virtual International Day 2021

The first Virtual International Day to promote internationalisation and celebrate cultural diversity at LU was held on 6 October 2021. This online event allowed people from different parts of the world to connect and interact, and offered an excellent opportunity for students with different backgrounds to share their own cultures and traditions. The event began with opening remarks by Prof Sharma Shalendra, Associate Vice-President (Academic Quality Assurance and Internationalisation). He welcomed all of the local and international participants to this fun-filled event that showcased the global world that we live in.

In 2021-22, LU had over 300 non-local degree-seeking and incoming exchange students from all parts of the world. These students from Germany, Finland, Japan, Kazakhstan, Korea, Spain and Vietnam enriched our multi-cultural campus, and took turns during this occasion to showcase their traditions and cultures by displaying their amazing talent and creativity.
