Lingnan University’s Teaching and Learning Centre (TLC) has launched a podcasting website for staff and students to learn anytime, anywhere.
Lingnan University shared its pioneering experience in academic advising at an inter-university forum titled “Academic Advising Delivery System Models” held at the Hong Kong Institute of Education on 18 May 2011.
About 600 Lingnan University graduating students, teachers, staff and guests attended a dinner together at the Grand Ballroom of L’hotel Nina et Convention Centre on 17 May 2011 to share memorable moments in the past three years.
People who would like to accumulate wealth should first learn to suppress their “impulsive desire for short-term happiness”, according to Centaline Property Agency Limited and free newspaper am730 founder Mr Shih Wing-ching.
An eco-tour to Singapore, under the Lingnan University Green Campus Programme, was held from 18 to 22 May 2011, allowing the ten Green Ambassadors to learn more about the environmental protection and nature conservation policies of the Lion City. Lingnan’s Green Campus Programme was started in 2008/09 with sponsorship by Hang Seng Bank.

Research and academic activities
Lingnan University, the pioneer in Hong Kong in promoting service-learning in tertiary curriculum, officially opened the 3rd Asia-Pacific Conference on Service-Learning entitled “Make a Difference: Impacts of Service-Learning” on 9 June 2011.
World renowned historians discussed the dissemination of British culture within the Empire at a three-day conference organised by the History Department of Lingnan University on 25-27 May 2011.
The Centre for Humanities Research (CHR) of Lingnan University co-organised a seminar on 1 June 2011 in memory of Hai Sin, an important local literary writer who had recently passed away, to discuss his works and share memories of his long career in Hong Kong.
