Two Lingnan students were selected as the first batch of “Global Scholars” under Global Liberal Arts Alliance’s Global Scholar Programme.
A teacher-student partnership from the Department of Economics was awarded a €300,000-Euro research grant to initiate a two-year research project which aims to alleviate poverty among North Ethiopian farmers.

Department of Visual Studies is now staging an art exhibition on “Resonating with Creative Minds” from 22 October to 27 November at the Fong Sum Wood Library to mark the 10th anniversary of its Artist-in-Residence programme.
To equip Risk and Insurance Management undergraduate students with better industry exposure and enhance their relevant skill-sets for future career challenges, the AR Mentorship Programme 2015-16 was kicked off with strong support from the insurance industry.

A group of Lingnan students from the Service-Learning course on “Family, Gender and Society” participated in the pre-production stage of the drama performance “A Kitchen of Her Own”. The performance was staged at the Chan Tak Tai Auditorium on 12 October.
This year marks the 10th Anniversary of the inauguration of Service-Learning at Lingnan. To celebrate the fruits of Service-Learning and further promote this pedagogical tool, the University will organize a series of symposiums focusing on faculty, community, students and regional partnership respectively.
The art exhibition AFFINITY, co-organised by Art Dreamers Hong Kong and Lingnan University Chaplain’s Office, was held from 25 September to 6 October, featuring artworks by 20 local artists from Art Dreamers Hong Kong.
Nature Day Camp for children was held on 18 October in Tai Po Tree Top Cottage, with 15 members of Lingnan University Alumni Volunteer Team shared the happiness of the children.
The annual Info Day was held on 24 October this year to introduce to students, teachers, parents and the general public features of Lingnan’s liberal art education, as well as admission information of its undergraduate programmes in 2015/16.
The sixth “Walking with Lingnanians” Fundraising Walkathon drew a record-breaking participation of over 1,300 Lingnanians, with HK$2.8 million raised in support of the University’s whole-person development programmes.
Popular veteran actor Mr Woo Kai-sau (Woo Fung), who was conferred Honorary Fellowship by Lingnan University in early October, was invited to attend the University Assembly with the topic “Woo Fung: Hong Kong Legend”.
Festive atmosphere filled the campus of Lingnan University as the International Day 2015 was held on 28 October.
