To arouse public awareness on cyber security and put forward the new concept of incorporating digital forensic as standard corporate governance for enterprises, SMEs, NGOs and other organisations in Hong Kong, the Cyber Security and Digital Forensics Conference, organised by Lingnan University and co-organised by the Hong Kong Chinese Industry and Commerce Association, was held on the campus of Lingnan University on 1 December.  The Conference was supported by the Knowledge Transfer Project Fund of Lingnan University.

In his welcome speech at the Conference, Vice-President Prof Joshua Mok Ka-ho pointed out that as Hong Kong aspires to become a competitive global city, questing for excellence in management and good corporate governance is one of the major challenges.  Lingnan University is honoured to host the First Cyber Security and Digital Forensic Conference to create a platform for scholars and practitioners to explore the new landscape of digital evidence, social media and cyber security. 

The Conference met with enthusiastic response with some 220 participants from the education, banking & financing, insurance, industrial and IT & networking sectors, SMEs, NGOs and Government agencies.
