In collaboration with the Hong Kong Pei Hua Education Foundation, Hong Kong Institute of Business Studies organised “The 36th Seminar for the Senior Officials of the Minority Nationalities Autonomous Prefectures in China” from 21 August to 1 September. The two-week programme was organised for a group of 35 senior officials from 18 provinces/cities/counties of the Minority Nationalities Autonomous Prefectures in China. The training programme aimed at sharing Hong Kong's experience of economic development with the participants. Distinguished speakers from government departments, business and academic fields in Hong Kong gave lectures on the local economy, finance, law/politics, education system, and environmental protection. As part of the executive programme, participants also visited Civil Service Bureau, Hong Kong Productivity Council, Hong Kong Monetary Authority, ICAC, and The Hong Kong Council of Social Service to learn more about the functions and operations of these organisations.
