With the generous donation of HK$4 million from The Chinese Manufacturers' Association of Hong Kong (CMA), the University established the “First Generation University Education Fund” to provide financial assistance to students who are the first generation in their families receiving university education but with financial difficulties in joining exchange and internship programmes and living in hostels.  In appreciation of the Association’s generosity, an integrated IT study centre located on the main campus was named after the Association, with the naming ceremony held on 24 November.

Officiating guests of the ceremony included Dr Eddy S H Li, President of CMA, Mr Rex Auyeung Pak-kuen, Council Chairman, and President Leonard K Cheng of Lingnan University.

Located on the 4th floor of the Patrick Lee Wan Keung Academic Building, the “Chinese Manufacturers’ Association of Hong Kong Integrated IT Study Centre” is equipped with computers, study rooms and discussion rooms and allows 24-hour access for all students.
