Lingnan University’s Hong Kong Institute of Business Studies (HKIBS) and the Hong Kong Pei Hua Education Foundation co-organised “The 33rd Seminar for the Senior Officials of the Minority Nationalities Autonomous Prefectures in China” from 23 May to 4 June.

The two-week programme aimed at sharing Hong Kong's experience of economic development with a group of 38 senior officials from 18 provinces and municipalities, namely Beijing, Chongqing, Gansu, Guangxi, Guangzhou, Guizhou, Hainan, Henan, Hubei, Hunan, Inner Mongolia, Jilin, Ningxia, Shenzhen, Sichuan, Tibet, Xinjiang and Yunnan.

Distinguished speakers from government departments, business and academic fields in Hong Kong were invited to give an overview of the economy, finance, law, politics, education and environmental protection of Hong Kong. As part of the executive programme, the participants also visited City Gallery, Hong Kong International Airport, Hong Kong Productivity Council, Hong Kong Monetary Authority, Hong Kong Museum of History, ICAC and Islamic Kasim Tuet Memorial College to learn more about the operations of these organisations.
