Alumni Homecoming Day 2015, the annual highlight for Lingnanians, was successfully held on 11 and 12 July. The event was participated enthusiastically by alumni, their families and friends, and made a record high of 700 participants.
“Welcome Back!” was not only the theme of this year’s event but also a goal. Lingnan always welcome alumni to come back and reminisce about their university life through the homecoming event, and share their happiness with family and friends during the two-day stay on campus.
This year, participants stayed at the Tsung Tsin Association Hall, Fok Cho Min Hall, Chung Shun Yee Min Hall, Wong Hoo Chun Hall and Wu Jieh Yee Hall. Wide variety of activities were available including craft kiosks, workshops, game booths operated by Lingnan University Alumni Association (Hong Kong) and Business Administration Alumni Association as well as booths selling University souvenirs. Illusionary art-based “Funny Photo-taking Corner” at Leung Fong Oi Wan Art Gallery was the most popular activity in which participants could take interesting pictures in graduation gown. During the mass game, participants demonstrated their team spirit and had fun with their teammates.
At the dinner, a magic show performed by alumnus Yau Yu-kit and his six-year-old son and a dance performance by members of Wai Ji Christian Service received great applause. President Leonard K Cheng also took the opportunity to greet alumni and introduce to them the latest developments of the University.
