About 120 students from 13 primary schools in Tuen Mun visited Lingnan University on 20 February to experience university life. They met non-local students and attended a lecture on "The Monkey King of Journey to the West", a classic Chinese fairy tale that denotes the bildungsroman process of the Monkey King, by Prof Grace Lau Yin-ping of the Department of Chinese. 

The visit was jointly organised by Lingnan’s Student Services Centre and Tuen Mun District Youth Programme Committee of the Tuen Mun District Office. Mr Kwu Hon-keung, Chairman of Tuen Mun District Youth Programme Committee and Dr Veronica Tam, Director of Student Services Centre, were invited to give welcoming addresses.   

The 13 primary schools participating in the campus visit include Castle Peak Catholic Primary School, CCC Hoh Fuk Tong Primary School, FDBWA Chow Chin Yau School, Hing Tak School, The Hong Kong Eng Clansman Association Wu Si Chong Memorial School, Po Leung Kuk Horizon East Primary School, Shun Tak Fraternal Association Ho Yat Tung Primary School, SRBCEPSA Ho Sau Ki School, Toi Shan Association Primary School, Tuen Mun Government Primary School, Yan Chai Hospital Ho Sik Nam Primary School, Yan Chai Hospital Law Chan Chor Si Primary School and Yan Tak Catholic Primary School.
