Alumni Homecoming 2014 was successfully held on 12-13 July, welcoming more than 600 alumni, their families and friends.
With “We Miss U” as the theme this year, Alumni Homecoming 2014 aimed at helping alumni recall fond memories of their life at Lingnan, and share a happy weekend with their families and friends.
Experiential games and learning classes were organised this year, enabling participants to make macaroon-shaped coin purses and clips to keep earphones tidy; or practise yoga to relax their body and mind. Some of them also learnt about the hardship of losing one’s limbs and eyesight, thus inspiring them to think of the problems faced by the disabled.
Alumni and student performers were invited to show off their singing, taekwondo, karate and musical talents. In addition to a performance by Dance Society at the dinner, alumnus Yau Yu-kit and his five-year-old son staged a magic show. President Leonard K Cheng, who attended Homecoming for the first time, took the opportunity to send his greetings to all alumni and introduce the latest developments of the University.
