The much-awaited annual Alumni Homecoming Day was held on 2-3 July 2011, with the participation of more than 400 alumni from 1981 to 2010 and their friends and families.

'Memories' was the theme this year. Apart from the banquet which enabled alumni to reminisce their "canteen days" in the past, a major highlight was the "Weird & Funny Photo-taking Corner" at Leung Fong Oi Wan Art Gallery. Alumni enjoyed very much taking photos in front of interesting props featuring Lingnan's facilities and various aspects of campus life, including hostel, classroom, swimming pool and sports activities. A few giant promotional panels for the Corner were erected at the Contemporary Garden to lure visitors to the Gallery. Alumni of different generations were invited to host talks and classes, and to give performances during the banquet. The Lingnan Alumni Basketball Team had a friendship match with the Police (Northern New Territories District) Basketball Team.

For the first time, both hot pot and buffet were served at the banquet. The singing performance of alumnus Mr Ronald Law (currently an artiste of a local TV broadcasting company) and the magic show of another alumnus Mr Garry Yau brought the night to a climax.

All the talks and interest classes this year were hosted by alumni. In his speech at the banquet, President Chan Yuk-Shee thanked these alumni for coming back to the campus to provide volunteer service for their alma mater and making the Alumni Homecoming Day even more meaningful.
