Alumni Homecoming Day, an annual highlight for Lingnanians, was held on 6-7 July. The event this year was enthusiastically received by alumni and achieved a record high of 600 participants.

“Happy Together” is not only the theme but also our goal this year. We hope our participants can truly enjoy the happy moments with their friends and family during the two days on campus. For the first time, alumni were arranged to stay in the new hostels, namely Wong Hoo Chun Hall and Wu Jieh Yee Hall. Creative Workshops including “Leather Octopus Card Holder DIY Workshop”, “Art Jamming Workshop”, “Scarecrow DIY Class” and the late-night game “Campus Orienteering” were held. Participants of the Campus Orienteering demonstrated dedication and team spirit when they competed for the championship. The traditional Chinese food and crafts kiosks were also popular.

At the dinner reception, the LU Dancing Society and a student band called “Harmony” gave their best in their performances to demonstrate their talent.

There was encouraging response to this year’s “Alumni Photo-taking Competition”. All entries have been uploaded to the event Facebook page and the voting results by alumni for the photo they liked most are available. For more details, please go to https://www.facebook.com/luhomecomingday2013.
