The annual Lingnan Arts Festival was held from 4 to 31 March, featuring a fascinating array of performances, seminars, exhibitions and concerts, and providing an opportunity for teachers and students of the University and the public to experience the unique liberal arts education at Lingnan. 

The Arts Festival was opened on 4 March with the drama Hi Education presented by the FM Theatre Power. The art exhibition “Come in please”, co-organised by the University and i-dArt of the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals, was staged from 5 to 29 March at Leung Fong Oi Wan Art Gallery, showcasing works of over 80 disabled artists from visual and performing art classes in various art forms – paintings, ceramics, Chinese calligraphy, Saori weaving, dance and percussions performances. A series of music concerts featuring different music genres was also staged including the “Lunch-time Concert: Lingnan and Zheng Music” and “RTHK String Quartet Concert” held on 24 March, bringing different forms of music enjoyment to the audience. 

Other exciting activities of the Arts Festival included the Seminar on Physical Theatre, Seminar by the Artist-in-Residence, Belly Dance Workshops, as well as Short Film and Eco-cinema series.
