Lingnan University held the Award Presentation Ceremony of Mainland Summer Internship Programmes 2013 on 27 January to honour those participants with outstanding performance, followed by a briefing session on the 2014 Programmes.

Year 3 Marketing student Wilson Wong was presented with the Outstanding Intern Award for his commitment at work and friendliness towards colleagues and fellow students. Year 2 Finance student Tony Tsang, one of the six Merit Awardees, shared his interesting experience of collecting intelligence from competitors. Working on his own with support from his colleagues, Tony completed his assignment and learned to think on his feet and to overcome challenges with confidence and determination.

A total of 48 students participated in the internship programme in Shanghai last year. They worked in 19 companies in accounting, banking, business consultancy, catering, marketing and property development for about two months. Participating enterprises included Agenda Shanghai, Ascott China, China Merchants Bank (Shanghai Jiangwan Sub-branch), Shanghai Xiao Nan Guo Restaurant Company Limited and Sun Hung Kai Properties (Shanghai) Company Limited.
