The Installation and 1st Induction Ceremony of the Lingnan University Chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS) was held on 21 May, during which Mr Bernard Chan, Council Chairman of Lingnan University, was made Chapter Honoree, while 30 business students were inducted into the Chapter. Prof Japhet Law, Special Advisor to the BGS President in Asia and Professor of the Department of Decision Sciences and Managerial Economics at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, was invited to serve as Chapter Installing Officer.

Beta Gamma Sigma is an honour society serving business programmes accredited by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International). Membership in BGS is the highest recognition a business student can receive in a business programme accredited by AACSB International, the longest-serving global accrediting body for business schools that offer degree programmes in business and accounting. Lingnan’s Faculty of Business was among one of 600-plus schools of business worldwide which have earned accreditation from AACSB International.

The mission of the International Honor Society BGS is to encourage and honour academic achievement in the study of business, to foster personal and professional excellence, to advance the values of the Society, and to serve its lifelong members. For more details, please visit: http://www.betagammasigma.org/ .
