Lingnan alumnus Day Kwei-kwan is holding an exhibition of his calligraphy works from 27 August to 26 October at Fong Sum Wood Library to promote this art form and Chinese culture.

The exhibition features 20 pieces of calligraphy in seal, clerical, regular, semi-cursive and cursive scripts by Mr Day. He has also donated 100 copies of a calligraphy collection whose title was written by Prof Jao Chung-I for lovers of this ancient art.

A graduate of Lingnan and the New Asia Institute majoring in Chinese and history respectively, Mr Day has been working at Po Leung Kuk as an executive secretary. His works have been shortlisted at international calligraphy tournaments in Guangzhou and Henan province. He also won a merit award at the Fifth Exhibition of New Works by New Calligraphers of Guangdong Province.
