Local blockbuster A Simple Life, which depicts the heart-warming relationship between a young master of a large family and his nanny, was inspired by the true story of the producer Mr Roger Lee and Nanny Peach (To Tse). At the sharing session with Lingnan students on 12 April, Mr Lee talked not only about his fond memories of Nanny Peach but also the production details of the film such as inspiration, research and casting.

A film buff since childhood, Mr Lee immigrated to the US after completing secondary education. Having graduated with a degree in international marketing, Mr Lee returned to Hong Kong and joined Radio Television Hong Kong to produce films. He is now a film accountant, producer, screenwriter and financial director. When his nanny passed away, Mr Lee devoted himself to preparing for the funeral without really letting go of his sorrow. Only until recently could he do so by writing the story outline of A Simple Life. The idea was further elaborated in his book Nanny Peach and I.
