The University was invited by Google Hong Kong Limited to join their Google Ignite Programme which will train final year students as new digital marketing talents. The programme will train college graduating seniors and recent graduates on Google AdWords certification, match the certified individuals with companies and agencies that have full-time marketing-related job openings, and offer a comprehensive six-month digital marketing training programme for the “Digital Stars” who receive and accept job offers through Google Ignite.
Five student ambassadors have been recruited to help promote the programme and assist participants to pass an E-marketing exam. “Digital marketing is becoming more important thanks to the well-developed information technology and the wide usage of social media. I want to grasp the chance to be a good digital marketer,” said Year 3 Marketing student and Google Ignite student ambassador Hennessy Yuen.
The programme has been opened for application since 25 September while the Orion Career Forum was held on 7 October. Interviews of applicants will take place in December.
