Prof Tjonnie GF Li, Research Assistant Professor from the Department of Physics of the Chinese University of Hong Kong was invited to the Lingnan campus on 4 March to share the ground-breaking discovery of gravitational wave.

At the distinguished science seminar co-organised by the Science Unit and the Student Services Centre, Prof Li, who has been involved in world-leading research on gravitational waves, spoke on the topic “Einstein’s Messengers: A new window on the Universe” and shared with participants his insight on scientific discovery.  The objective of organising the seminar is to broaden Lingnan community’s liberal arts horizon through a glimpse to an important achievement in scientific research in our time.  The seminar attracted a full house of audience including staff and students of Lingnan, secondary school students and the general public.
