Friends and students of the late Prof Leung Ping-kwan (Ye Si) gathered at Lingnan University on 5 January, which marks the second anniversary of his passing, to read his works in a modest setting and commemorate the poet.

During the commemoration, Lingnan University’s Centre for Humanities Research shared with the audience Prof Leung’s books published in 2014, including Paper Cut-out published in Mainland China, Selected Poems of Leung Ping-kwan (2 Volumes) published in Taiwan, and Contemporary Hong Kong Writers: Selected Work of Ye Si. The Centre also displayed the images of the exhibition Journey of a Hong Kong poet Leung Ping-kwan (1949-2013) recently held in Taipei, and announced that the international academic conference on “Hong Kong and the World through Leung Ping-kwan” will be held in May 2015. At the end of the commemoration, Dr Wong King-fai showed the trailer of the documentary on Prof Leung.
