Lingnan University’s Master of Cultural Studies Programme and Centre for Community Cultural Development co-organised a performance art festival entitled “INTER-VIA – Encountering Taipei’s Performance Artists at Lingnan” on 10 October.

During the one-week festival, local and Taipei artists were invited to explore performance art’s concern towards philosophy, ethics, society, history, reformation and revolution, as well as the rebellion and subversion of performance art. The exchange of ideas among artists will allow deeper and broader understanding of performance art between the two cities.

The festival included exchange performances and discussion sessions held at Lingnan University on 10 October. Taipei artists Sun Yi-Jou and Kao Hsiu-Hui and local artist Sanmu were invited to create performance artworks and explore the rebellion and integration of performance art.
