A double master programme in corporate finance and international banking & finance will be jointly offered by Lingnan University and École Supérieure des Sciences Commerciales d’Angers (ESSCA) of France. A signing ceremony was held on 26 November.
The ceremony was officiated by Prof Catherine Leblanc, Dean and Director General, and Prof Shen Wei, Associate Dean of China, ESSCA; Dr Isabelle Saves, Attaché for Academic Affairs from the Consulate of France to Hong Kong and Macau; President Leonard K Cheng and Prof Wei Xiangdong, Academic Dean of Faculty of Social Sciences and Programme Director of Master of Science in International Banking and Finance Programme (MIBF), Lingnan University.
President Cheng was pleased to witness the collaboration between Lingnan and ESSCA, as it “marked a great start” for the partnership of Lingnan’s taught postgraduate programmes with overseas institutions of higher learning.
Founded in 1909, ESSCA is a leading French graduate school of management with campuses in Paris, Angers, Budapest and Shanghai. It has double-degree programmes with leading schools like Antwerp Management School in Belgium (ranked 40th in Europe by The Financial Times in 2012), Fudan University in China, Hochschule Pforzheim in Germany (ranked 16th in Germany by Eduniversal in 2012) and National Sun Yat-sen University in Taiwan.
The first cohort of the double-master degree programme will be admitted in 2014.
