Lingnan University has been featured in the world’s top 200 universities for three of the 10 subjects it is ranked in the latest QS World University Rankings by Subject. In addition to Accounting & Finance, which has been featured in the QS World University Rankings by Subject in previous years, Philosophy and Modern Languages at Lingnan are featured for the first time.

“We are pleased to learn that our efforts to pursue teaching and research excellence is somewhat reflected in the latest rankings by subject,” said President Leonard K Cheng. “However, the rankings should be viewed with caution because the existing methodology compares Lingnan, a small liberal arts institution, directly with much bigger comprehensive universities with a large number of faculty members. In any event, we will continue to strive for excellence in teaching and research in order to become the preferred liberal arts university in Asia.”
