Diplomats, journalists and scholars from Britain, mainland China, Germany, Hong Kong, North and South Koreas, Japan, Russia and the US attended the Korea Forum 2011, jointly hosted by the Centre for Asian Pacific Studies (CAPS) and the Department of Political Science of Lingnan University, on 14 October. 

Under the theme of "Peace and Security on the Korean Peninsula: Beyond the Six-Party Talks", the Korea Forum this year, the sixth hosted by Lingnan University, discussed the prospects for the de-nuclearisation of the Korean peninsula, the role that the Six-Party Talks have played and may again play, the broader issues of security surrounding the peninsula and various routes to achieve peace and stability. 

Mr Ok-Hyun Jun, Consul General of the Republic of Korea in Hong Kong; Prof William Lee, Associate Vice-President (Academic Affairs) and Registrar of Lingnan University; Dr Zhang Baohui, Director of CAPS and Dr Brian Bridges, Professor of Political Science at Lingnan delivered opening remarks at the Forum. The Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Hong Kong provided generous support for this conference.
