The Centre for Humanities Research of Lingnan University organised the seminar “The Chinese Student Weekly in 1960s” on 13 April at Fong Sum Wood Library. This is the second talk of “The Making of Modernism – Hong Kong Literature and Culture of the 1960s” project under the Research Grants Council’s General Research Fund (GRF).

Following its success in completing the previous GRF project on the 1950s, the Centre goes on to map out the cultural landscape of the 1960s which is no doubt more complicated and dynamic. In the seminar, Hong Kong senior film critic Mr Law Kar shared with the audience his experience and feelings about Hong Kong in the 1960s.
