A delegation of the Shanghai Chinese Overseas Friendship Association visited the University on 19 May.  Apart from understanding the latest development of Lingnan, views were also exchanged with the delegation on how to strengthen student internship and research activities.

The delegation, led by Mr Zhao Weixing, Executive Vice President of Shanghai Chinese Overseas Friendship Association, met with representatives of Lingnan including Dr Li Donghui, Associate Vice-President, Prof Wei Xiangdong, Dean of Faculty of Social Sciences and Director of Pan Sutong Shanghai-Hong Kong Economic Policy Research Centre (PSEC), Dr Chow Man-kong, Deputy Director of PSEC and Dr Veronica Tam, Director of Student Services.  At the meeting, Dr Tam presented the development of Lingnan’s various Mainland summer internship programmes, and Prof Wei introduced the work of PSEC.  In response, Mr Zhao shared his ideas on how to further enhance Lingnan’s Mainland internship programmes and direction of PSEC.
