People who would like to accumulate wealth should first learn to suppress their “impulsive desire for short-term happiness”, according to Centaline Property Agency Limited and free newspaper am730 founder Mr Shih Wing-ching. The Lingnan University Honorary Fellow was speaking at a dinner talk titled “A Dialogue with Mr Shih Wing-ching” for the University’s alumni on 19 May 2011 at World Trade Centre Club Hong Kong. His insightful sharing on wealth accumulation and management earned a big round of applause from the 90-plus graduate alumni spanning the years 1982-2010. During the question-and-answer session, they seized the chance to ask Mr Shih for his professional advice on investment, asset management and business management. The talk was organised by the University’s Office of Institutional Advancement and Public Affairs.
