Two Lingnan student teams won awards in the “Challenge Cup” National Competition – Hong Kong Regional Final, Hong Kong University Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition 2016. Organised by the Hong Kong New Generation Cultural Association, the competition aimed to nurture innovative ideas and entrepreneurial skills among university students in Hong Kong.
The team consisting of Henry Poon Sing-yu (Accounting, Year 3) and Jenny Lam Wing-yee (Social Science, Year 4) won the First Class Award in the “Social Enterprise” division of the competition’s “Entrepreneurship Category” with their project entitled "Xpotential Sanitation Group", while the team consisting of Wilson Chan Wai-ho (Finance, Year 4), Roy Chan Sung-nok (Finance, Year 3), Harry Fok Cheuk-kwong (Finance, Year 4) and Edmond Shing Long-kit (Accounting, Year 3) was awarded Second Class Award in the same competition category with their "Elite Recycling Enterprise".
The award presentation ceremony was held on 22 June. Congratulations to the students for their outstanding achievements!
