Joined by local pianist Prof Joanna Li, Argentinian flautist and composer Eduardo Tami gave a compelling performance of the works of tango maestro Astor Piazzolla (1921–1992) on 16 November.

Piazzolla took a dying art form and infused it with jazz and classical techniques to create a new art form — Nuevo Tango. The music of Piazzolla has inspired the world to take another look at the Argentine voice in the world of music.

A key highlight of Concerts@Lingnan, the tango concert has drawn much applause from an audience of 115 students, staff and visitors.
