On 27 November, more than 300 local and exchange students, teachers and staff members shared a Thanksgiving dinner at Sin Cho Ming Function Hall co-organised by the Student Services Centre, ten Warden’s offices and Chaplain’s Office.
The dinner was kicked off with a joyful singing performance by the Christian Choir. Participants were invited to take part in a role play which introduced the origin of the Thanksgiving Day, after which they enjoyed traditional dishes for Thanksgiving Day such as turkey, mashed potato and cranberry sauces. The joyful event was rounded up by the fantastic singing performance by the Band of the Tsung Tsin Association and Fok Cho Min Hall.
Prizes were also presented to winners of the Thanksgiving Postcard Design Competition 2014, whose winning designs were printed as postcards for distributing to participants at the dinner. The winners are:
- Chan Chui-ling (BA in Visual Studies, Year 3)
- Hon Wing-yee (BA in Chinese, Year 3)
