Sponsored by the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce (CGCC), 34 Lingnan students will participate in an 8-week internship in Shanghai this summer.

A kick-off ceremony for CGCC’s summer internship programme was held on 6 May which was officiated by Dr Charles Yeung, Chairman of CGCC, Mr Kevin Yeung Yun-hung, Under Secretary for Education of HKSAR Government, Mr Zhang Weihong, Director of Department of Youth Affairs, Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in HKSAR, Mr Lawrence Ma Chung-lai, Vice-chairman of CGCC, Mr Stephen Tan, Chairman of CGCC Education Funding Committee, President Leonard Cheng and representatives of other local universities.

Lingnan University’s “CGCC Mainland Summer Internship Programme 2016” is supported by 14 prominent companies.  Interns will be engaging in a wide range of job exposures such as audit, finance, customer service, human resources and administration, public relations, media and advertising, lease and promotion, project management, sales and marketing, supply chain and operations.  Students will also attend industry sharing by senior executives and join study tours to broaden their vision and cultural perspective for personal and career development.
