On 30 November 2010, Lingnan University held the topping out ceremony of the "Simon and Eleanor Kwok Building", which has been named in appreciation of the $20 million donation by Dr Simon Kwok Siu-ming, Chairman and CEO of SaSa International Holdings Limited and his wife Dr Eleanor Kwok for the development of liberal arts education.

The new academic block will provide lecture rooms, a computer laboratory and student activity areas, as well as a new teaching and learning environment for the Faculty of Business when it is completed in late 2011. Located near Fu Tai Estate and to be linked to the main campus by a pedestrian footbridge, it is built on a 4,674-square metre site and has a gross floor area of 5,178 square metres. Treasurer Mr Ben Wong, Institutional Advancement Committee Chairman Mr Patrick Ma Ching-hang, President Chan Yuk-Shee and the donors officiated at the ceremony.
