A book launching ceremony was held on 2 December to introduce two new books related to higher education, community engagement and service learning, namely “Higher Education in the World 5: Knowledge, Engagement and Higher Education: Contributing to Social Change” and “高等教育新思維: 中國特色的服務研習” (a book on service-learning for tertiary education with Chinese characteristics).

At the event, Dr Rajesh Tandon, Co-Chair, UNESCO on Community-based Research and Social Responsibility of Higher Education, Prof Francesc Xavier Grau, Non-Executive Director of GUNi, Dr Carol Ma, Associate Director of Lingnan University’s Office of Service Learning and other representatives from higher education institutions in Mainland China shared their views on global and regional development of university-community engagement and service learning.
