The “Virtual Reality” Documentary Series was jointly presented by the Core Curriculum and General Education Office, Centre for Cinema Studies and CNEX Foundation on 9 and 16 April at the campus. It attracted not only staff and students of Lingnan but also students from local secondary schools.

Upon the first screening of the film “State of Play”, Mr Cheng Lap, Founder of the strategy game Kowloonia, shared his views on the video game culture in Hong Kong, while Prof Lisa Leung Yuk-ming of the Department of Cultural Studies talked about the background and development of the video game industry in Korea. “Digital Nation”, another technology-related film, was featured as the Series’ closing film. The Series was a well-received general education event outside the curriculum, and inspired students to think critically about complex global technology issues in this generation.
