The Student Services Centre (SSC) organised a local visit and Mid-Autumn Festival gatherings for non-local degree-seeking students in September.

On 3 September, 20 non-local degree-seeking and local non-Cantonese speaking students joined a cultural and historical tour in Aberdeen. By visiting the old temples, fish wholesale market and Aberdeen Typhoon Shelter, they learned the history and development of Aberdeen from a fishing village to a famous tourist spot nowadays.

Mid-Autumn Festival is a family reunion festival in the Chinese community. SSC organised a Mid-Autumn Festival gathering on 13 September for non-local students, and  co-organised another Mid-Autumn party with the Lingnan University Chinese Students and Scholars Association on 14 September.  The gathering not only provided an opportunity for non-local students to meet but also provided an opportunity for them to build up social networks.  They can experience the celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival under the full moon, and enjoy moon cakes and fresh fruits.
