Senior administrators of higher education institutions from the central region of Thailand visited Lingnan University on 31 May. The 15-member delegation was led by Dr Panit Khemthong, Vice President for Academic Affairs of Kasetsart University, which has been designated the core university among public and private higher education institutions in central Thailand by the country’s Office of Higher Education Commission.

The group also included the vice-presidents of Huachiew Chalermprakiet University and Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi as well as representatives from Bangkok University, Chandrakasem Rajabhat University, Eastern Asia University, Sripatum University, Kanchanabhishek Institute of Medical and Public Health Technology, Royal Thai Air Force Nursing College and the Civil Aviation Training Center of Thailand. They were eager to learn more about Lingnan’s liberal arts education and curriculum, in particular the nurturing of students to become global citizens.

The visitors were warmly received by Acting President Prof Jesús Seade, Faculty of Business Academic Dean Prof Dean Tjosvold, Office of Service-Learning Director Prof Alfred Chan, Dean of Students Prof Lee Hung-kai, Prof Andrew Goatly of the Department of English, Office of Communications and Public Affairs Acting Director Ms Helen Choi, and Office of Mainland and International Programmes Assistant Programmes Manager Ms Angela Ng.
