The showing of the documentary film series entitled “Youth and Citizenship” that spanned across two terms of 2013/14, co-organised by the Core Curriculum and General Education Office (CCGEO) and Centre for Cinema Studies of Lingnan University as well as the CNEX Foundation Limited, came to a close on 24 April.

Speaking at the closing session, Prof Stephen Chan, director of CCGEO, Associate Vice-President (Academic Affairs) and Registrar of Lingnan, said the film show was organised to broaden students’ horizons, urging them to think about the issues presented in the documentaries and relate them to their own lives. He hoped the students had enjoyed the films as much as he did.

The film series presented a total of 10 well-produced documentaries on a wide range of topics, including civil identity, human rights, cyber culture, political awareness, environmental protection and children’s rights.
