The “creativity movement space” art exhibition was held from 5 to 27 February at Fong Sum Wood Library as prelude to the Lingnan Arts Festival 2015 in March.

One of the astounding achievements and outcomes of the Umbrella Movement has been the robust creative artworks that have sprung up in the occupied areas. The exhibition showcases artworks created by Mr Francesco Lietti, Italian painter active in the occupied areas, cross-media artist Wen Yau and her friends, as well as students of Lingnan University to let the public think about the relationship between the movement, creation and public space, as well as the role of art and its function in social movements.

Mr Lietti, Ms Wen Yau and multidisciplinary artist Mr Him Lo were invited to share with the audience their creative journeys at the exhibition’s opening ceremony cum talk held on 5 February.

The Lingnan Arts Festival 2015 will be held on 4-31 March 2015. For details of the programmes, please visit: http://www.ln.edu.hk/arts/af2015/
