Co-organised by China International Association of President of Nursing Homes and the Asia Pacific Institute of Ageing Studies (APIAS), Lingnan University, the Second International Leadership Assembly of Nursing Homes cum APIAS-Tsao-ILC Symposium for Junior Researchers on Active Ageing 2012 was held in Hong Kong on 27-28 June. Government officials, scholars, healthcare and social work professionals attending the event called on global communities to vigorously address the ageing problem by expediting well-planned policies on ageing and population.
Both “ordinary marriages” and “cross-border marriages” might lead to elder neglect, but for different reasons, according to a study conducted by the Asia Pacific Institute of Ageing Studies (APIAS) of Lingnan University, the results of which were announced on 29 June 2012.
Dr Grace Lau Yin-ping, Associate Professor of Department of Chinese was invited to give a public seminar on 5 July 2012 on “Cantonese Opera and the Witty Maids”, co-organised by Hong Kong Trade Development Council and Lingnan University.
