*為讓義工能掌握與智障人士相處的技巧,在活動開始前,會先由匡智地區支援中心社工作簡短講解,以便義工了解有關的技巧及注意事項。學員為輕度至中度智障人士,年齡介乎18 - 55 歲,而智力及社交能力達初中程度。

2013 is Lingnan’s 125th Anniversary. The Lingnan University Alumni Association (LUAA) has formed a Preparatory Committee with Mr. Henry Sam (Deputy Chairman of LUAA) as Chairman to work on a series of celebratory events. One of its highlight programs is the “The Global Reunion 2013 – Formation of Lingnan Logo by a thousand Lingnanians”. Our colleagues, students and alumni are cordially invited to join this great event which will be held at Lingnan University, Wing On Plaza on Saturday, 16 November 2013 at 2:30 p.m.

More than 850 students, alumni, teachers, staff and friends of Lingnan University participated in the fourth “Walking with Lingnanians” fundraising walkathon 2013 on 20 October 2013. As the opening event of “Lingnan University Week 2013”, an annual array of activities of the University, the walkathon this year started from Tai Wan Shan Park, Hung Hom and proceeded to the Avenue of Stars, Tsim Sha Tsui. Over HK$1.8 million was raised in support of the University’s whole-person development programmes.

「環保樂『童』行」於2013年10月5日圓滿結束。當天,一眾校友義工隊成員與20名來自「安徒生會」(Hans Anderson Club)竹園中心的兒童會員渡過了一個愉快的環保之旅。

Registry would like to bring to your attention a programme established by the Research Grants Council (RGC) of Hong Kong: the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme (HKPFS), and the details for seeking admission to MPhil/PhD programmes at Lingnan University.

Alumni are now invited to nominate candidates for the Teaching Excellence Awards Scheme (TEAS) which is a biennial event with the aim to recognize and reward distinguished teachers of Lingnan University who have demonstrated outstanding performance in teaching. Nomination Deadline: 28th February 2014.

Wu Zhi Qiao (Bridge to China) Charitable Foundation will launch the 3rd charity walk from Tsuen Wan Park to Bellagio in Sham Tseng on Sunday, 17 November 2013, to unite the efforts and caring hearts from tertiary institutions and to improve the lives of the villagers by building footbridges in remote villages in rural China. Students, staff and alumni of all tertiary institutions in Hong Kong are invited to join the event. You are welcome to enroll through Student Services Centre before 5 pm, 25 October 2013.
