The Division of Graduate Studies at Lingnan University co-organised the International Symposium on Transnationalisation of Higher Education on 31 March with its international partners, namely the Global Academy of Liberal Arts at Bath Spa University in the UK, the Graduate School of Education at National Chung Cheng University in Taiwan, the Graduate School of Education at Peking University in China and the Research Institute for Higher Education at Hiroshima University in Japan. Scholars from eight countries or regions including Australia, Japan, Portugal, Singapore, UK, Mainland China, Taiwan and Hong Kong, and more than 50 faculty members and students joined the Symposium to discuss the important issues of transnationalisation of higher education in East Asia.

The Joint Symposium on “Smart Cities, Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Asia: Challenges and Opportunities”, co-organised by Lingnan University (LU), King’s College London,  Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) and supported by Smart City Consortium, was held on 20 April on Lingnan campus. The event brought together talented scholars from Hong Kong, United Kingdom, Singapore, Vietnam, Taiwan and the United States to share insights on the development of global cities, entrepreneurship and technological innovation in Asia.
