With increasing habitat destruction and harvesting, one may think that nature reserves are the final refugia for threatened species. Research studies done by Lingnan University’s biologist Prof Jonathan Fong and his research partners, including principal investigators Dr Gong Shiping from Guangdong Key Laboratory of Animal Conservation and Resource Utilization as well as Dr Shi Haitao from Guangdong Institute of Applied Biological Resources, showed that this is not the case within Mainland China’s nature reserves.

The University has recently renewed agreements of cooperation with the FH Kufstein Tirol University of Applied Science in Austria, Hainan University in Mainland China and Pitzer College in the United States, extending Lingnan’s close collaboration with these institutions.

The online platform “CREATE!” stands for Collaborative Resources for Entrepreneurship and Transformative Education.  It is Lingnan University’s innovation and entrepreneurship programme designed to nurture ethical, risk-taking innovators in a liberal arts context.
