Conference on the Future Development of Insurance Industry in Hong Kong

You are cordially invited to join the Conference on the Future Development of Insurance Industry in Hong Kong co-organised by Lingnan University and AR Charitable Foundation to be held on Monday, 10th September 2018.

The Conference is one of the major events celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Lingnan University's re-establishment in Hong Kong, and a pioneering academic-industry collaborative initiative.  We are honoured to have The Hon Paul Chan Mo-po, GBM, GBS, MH, JP, Financial Secretary, The Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region as our Guest of Honour and keynote speaker.

The Conference will also feature two panel discussions moderated by The Hon Bernard Charnwut Chan, GBS, JP, Convenor of the Executive Council of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and another keynote speech by Mr Rex Auyeung Pak-kuen, JP, a veteran leader of the insurance industry and Chairman of the Council of Lingnan University.

Officials from regulatory and statutory bodies, industry leaders and academics will talk about practical issues, opportunities and challenges in relation to the supply of talents and development of the insurance industry, as well as their insights into industry effort and government support for enhancing the competitiveness of the industry.

Time :  2:30pm to 5:40pm
Venue :  Meeting Room N101, Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (Phase 2)
Language :  All sessions will be conducted in English

Lingnan University and National Institute of Education Sciences (NIES) jointly organised the award ceremony for the “Mainland, Hong Kong and Macau Young STEAM Maker Competition” on 28 July at Chan Tak Tai Auditorium, Lingnan University. The officiating guests attending the ceremony included: Prof LI Lu, Director General of the Education, Science and Technology Department, the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the HKSAR; Mr YIN Changchun, Secretary of the Party Committee of the NIES; Dr Christine CHOI Yuk-Lin, Under Secretary for Education Bureau of the HKSAR Government; Dr David CHUNG Wai-Keung, Under Secretary for Innovation and Technology Bureau of the HKSAR Government; Dr LIU Jianfeng, Deputy Director-General of Education, Science and Technology Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the HKSAR; Dr Witman HUNG, Deputy to National People’s Congress, People’s Republic of China and President of the Internet Professional Association (IProA); Prof WANG Su, NIES’s Centre for STEM Education; Dr Ray CHEUNG Chak-chung, Chairman of Hong Kong STEM Alliance; Mr WONG Kam-Leung, Chairman of Hong Kong Federation of Education Worker and other invited guests.
