While the aesthetic movement in late 19th century, "art for life's sake", may sound antique to many, it still rings true at Lingnan University. For every Lingnanian, the liberal arts education we have received is valid for life and transformed us all.

The rise of artificial intelligence (AI), big data analytics, cloud computing and e-commerce has caused many companies to put immense resources into innovative technology in order to upgrade their operating systems and services.

After the first round of amendment of programme choices of the Joint University Programmes Admissions System (Jupas), it was revealed that Bachelor of Arts (Honours), Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in History and Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Philosophy were the most-wanted programmes at Lingnan in Band A, with 9.57, 8.81 and 8.80 students competing for a place respectively.

As a liberal arts university, Lingnan is committed to enhancing students’ knowledge of science through a number of science courses in the core curriculum. Outside classrooms, too, students are given enormous opportunities to conduct projects on campus and in the wider community with an aim to create a better environment, and to conserve the uniqueness, of Hong Kong.
