Thanksgiving Tree Campaign
Lingnan University is pleased to launch the “Thanksgiving Tree Campaign” in which a bronze lychee tree – the “Thanksgiving Tree” will be mounted on the wall of Patrick Lee Wan Keung Academic Building facing the Yu Kan Hing Memorial Garden. We sincerely invite you to make a donation to support the University’s sustainable development.
In recognition of your generous donation (HK$10,000 or more), your name or your chosen name, class, programme, graduation year etc. will be forever engraved on one of the leaves of the Thanksgiving Tree.
Your donation will be applied for matching under the Government’s 8th Matching Grant Scheme, thus further benefitting the University.

The University hosts the sixth South-South Forum on Sustainability (SSFS6) from 24 June to 3 July, under the main theme ‘Ecology, Livelihood and Community Regeneration’.
The International Postgraduate Summer School co-hosted by Lingnan University and the University of Oxford commenced on 24 June at Lingnan University, attracting the participation of postgraduate students and faculty members from different universities in mainland China, Singapore, Taiwan and Hong Kong. This is the third year of Lingnan University’s collaboration with the University of Oxford for postgraduate summer school.
Professor Joshua Mok, Vice President of Lingnan University visited The University of British Columbia in Canada on 20 June 2019 and he was warmly welcomed by the colleagues of International Office of UBC.
To promote Lingnan’s pursuit of technological advancement in response to changing social requirements, Prof Nancy Chen Yifeng, Associate Professor of the Department of Management, was invited to attend the China International Big Data Industry Expo 2019 co-organised by the Central and local governments in Guiyang, China, from 26 to 29 May.
Professor Simon Li, Assistant Professor at the Department of Applied Psychology, was invited by the Hong Kong West Cluster hospitals to participate in a debate session in The Third Hong Kong West Cluster Patient Safety Awareness Week 2019.
With his athletic 6-foot-4-inch frame, Felix Avena certainly stands out from the crowd on the Lingnan campus. Driven by ambitions of a career in Asia and his positive view of future trade relations between China and his home country, the Brazilian undergraduate has flown half way round the globe to take a bachelor’s degree in finance in Hong Kong.
