The Kick-off Ceremony of the Lingnanian Career Mentoring Programme 2015/16, officiated by President Leonard K Cheng, was held on 8 September 2015.

This year, a total of 52 professionals with excellent achievements in a wide spectrum of career fields have committed to be career mentors of the programme. They will offer career advice and guidance to 99 selected penultimate and final year students.

President Cheng extended his heartfelt gratitude to the mentors who demonstrate the Lingnanian spirit of selfless sacrifice when they pass their knowledge and experiences onto the younger generation. He urged students to seize every opportunity to seek advice from their mentors, and to learn from them the positive attitudes and skills to get along with others.

Miss Carmen Lee, a Social Sciences graduate who works as a senior consultant at Ruder Finn Asia, shared her experience in maximising the effectiveness of the mentoring process. She has organised various social gatherings with other mentors, so that their respective mentees had the opportunities to know more mentors and obtain additional career information and advice.
