Yuanxiao Festival 2023

At the campus-wide Yuanxiao Festival (also known as the Lantern Festival) held on 6 February 2023, local and international students staged a series of enthralling cultural performances, including a lion dance, singing and dancing, to joyfully celebrate the Year of Rabbit and Chinese Valentine’s Day. Cultural booths were set up by Mainland student groups, non-local students from Central Asia, incoming exchange students, cultural ambassadors and volunteers from the LU Elder Academy. These booths featured handicraft-making workshops, such as Chinese opera mask painting, Chinese rainbow calligraphy and festive games of cultures from around the world.
