Mid-Autumn Festival celebration

To celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival like locals, the incoming exchange students of Term 1, 2022–23 gathered to experience some important Chinese rituals with their student buddies. After being introduced to acrylic painting techniques and classic patterns of Chinese peach blossoms, they explored their own creativity by painting and by practising their Chinese writing on paper lanterns.

These incoming students also enjoyed having individual social gatherings with their exchange buddies to experience the harmony and unity of the joyful festive season. They received traditional mooncakes and greeting cards prepared by the Office of Global Education. This was the first taste of mooncakes for many of the students, and they were entranced by the perfect indulgent combination of sweet lotus-seed paste and salty egg yolks.
